Anywho.. Last year at the last second hubby and I got our very first tree together! Friggin' 11 years have passed and a bunch of stuff happened but this is our first tree! We got a good artificial tree with like 1200 lights LMAO!!!!!!! Anyway. It survived the packing back in the box from last year and only 1 broken bulb had to be replaced! Hubby did an excellent job of doing this while I was a sleep with yet another headache.. /sigh..
Close of up tree with flash offWhile he was showering I put up our decorations. We can now see it from every angle so we need to go out and get more ornaments for the bare spots on the sides and a tree skirt.. since this year we can actually see the bottom! I don't know about you but I'm totally in the mood now :D
Tree looked so bare so we got a tree skirt to go with it. Oh I feel so domesticated LOL Got it today (12/17/08). Still haven't gotten our 2008 ornament.. groan..

Love the way you keep going closer and closer up. Cool way to blog photos. Looks great, it was worth it!! It looks hungry for presents so hopefully postman cooperates. Okay, everyone's Christmas trees is making me vigilant. Will make one homemade decoration with the kids every year for our tiny tree. Congratulations.
Beautiful.
That's a very nice tree, Elsie. I'm like you- the Christmas mood hits me once my tree goes up. Then I'm like, "EEEEE, it's Christmas!!!"
Beautiful tree!

Aww thanks :) I swear when we first got our tree I thought it was going to signal alien civilizations! ROFL! Putting decorations have smoothed it down. I kinda like it without any garland though. I grew up with garland.. so it's wierd not to see it. Does make the clean up a whole lot easier without it though LOL .. SKW I love your tree too!!!!! It's so different! I love seeing how everyone has a take on the traditional tree. If I haven't seen them let me know where you guys posted your tree pics!
That's so cute! I love the snowman. Domesticity is a good thing... in small doses. :)
Beautiful tree. I have enjoyed seeing everyone's trees. I didn't put mine up this year. The only thing I have left is a 4" table top tree but because we are leaving...why bother. I am gald I get to see all of yours.
Got this at BJ's LOL.. it has hooks to keep it in place and it's not flimsy so it'll last. I'm so excited .. it's our first real tree (well .. not a charlie brown and his parents do a live tree) and it's ours to do whatever we want :) Dang thing cost a fortune but I'm going to milk it for what it's worth :D
Hey Pam Tree's a tree! Our first one in our old apartment sat on a table and I kept singing tree songs LOL!
For all the years that I was growing up our Christmas tree was a 4' table top version. But it was beautiful to us.
The year Thomas was born, I couldn't afford a tree and didn't have a fake one of my own. So I went to the Dollar Store and got some cheap garland and some plain glass ornaments and I made a tree shape on the wall with green garland and then zig zagged red and blue garland across it and hung the balls on it. Put the presents on the floor underneath. Oh well, my baby had a TREE for his very first Christmas. A sort of a tree, anyway. :)
Hey I had a Charlie Brown Christmas tree :) It was given to use years back (obviously) but an elderly couple that used to fill it with just about every contraption on the planet to keep it together. We put it up and I swear it had like 5 branches.. seriously.. it was so pathetic LOL.
Once when my sister's oldest girl was a toddler, my sister went out in the woods and got a little Florida Sand Pine for her tree. You know how those things grow? A pointy top and like 3-4 branches? It was a tree tho. She made tinfoil chains for garland and made paper ornaments. It was cute.
LOL that sounds cute :D My mom loved garland and tinsel and anything shiny.. I was too busy chasing after cats who adored that stuff.. I don't have or plan to have any on mine.. I think I'm psychologically scarred..
The tree looks very nice. Merry Christmas!
Aww ty Mr. Mike :) Btw.. Japan mostly does New Year as it's big year end holiday? I'm still learning...
Glad you got your tree up. Looks great. Now where's your fireplace so Santa can come down the chimmney?
Ooooh, pretty tree.
